Mumbai: Four IT engineers holding jobs in leading IT firms have joined hands to spread sweet across the globe. Through their venture www.mithaimate.com you can send mithai to your family and friends. Functioning currently in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi, it has tied-up with leading mithai shops in these cities.
“Everything from flowers to greeting cards can be sent online. However, the traditional Indian mithai didn’t have an online presence. So we decided to transform the offline mithai market into the online space,” said Akshilesh Bali, who handles the Delhi business of this venture. “The mithai reaches the person within three hours of placing the order. Only in case of an order coming from abroad it takes 24 hours” he added.
“During special events even NRIs in the US are using our means to reach out to their loved ones,” said Bali.
Speaking about using their talent as software experts Shashank Agarwal, who handles the Mumbai operations said, “We used our expertise to design a user friendly website.”
